Each capsule of Acidophilus Extra 10 contains 10 billion live beneficial bacteria (Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium bifidus) originally isolated from humans.

To protect them from stomach acids, we use DR capsules. These innovative capsules begin to release their contents after a prolonged period of time (decomposition begins approximately 45 minutes after immediate-release capsules, which do so at 5 minutes), protecting the bacteria from degradation that they would suffer in the stomach. These capsules have a moisture content 3 times lower than gelatin, further improving the stability of live bacteria and are made of vegetable cellulose being suitable for vegetarians.

The product is presented in a special container with a desiccant built into the inner wall that protects against moisture, since the viability of the bacteria is largely determined by the moisture of the environment surrounding the capsules. This special container eliminates the need to include a desiccant bag inside the container.

It is also stored in refrigerated conditions until dispatch.

Because of its concentration of live bacteria, only one capsule per day is needed.
